
Bio
Andy Liang is a Recipe Developer at Food Network, where he does in-depth research and multiple rounds of testing to make recipes come to life. He often develops Cantonese recipes, but also many other dinners and desserts for Food Network Kitchen. Plus, he often hosts recipe videos for Instagram, demonstrating his newly developed recipes. Andy has also worked as a food stylist on set, making all the food beautiful for the camera and problem-solving with culinary producers during a video shoot.
Experience
Andy started his career in food as a Pastry Sous Chef at a popular NYC restaurant, The Dutch, and was in charge of developing brunch menu items like seasonal mini donuts or waffles, while still producing items needed for the pastry station. Before being in the food world, Andy taught Mathematics to high school students. Teaching the world through food is what inspired him to go into the culinary field, and now teaching the world Cantonese culture through recipe development.
Education
Andy attended the former International Culinary Center to learn the world of savory foods then worked the ranks in the pastry world.
