Your petitions have finally been answered. Dunkin’ is celebrating the change of season by bringing back two fan-favorite drinks: the Dunkalatte and Pistachio Coffee.
The Dunkalatte isn’t a mere blend of milk and espresso. It takes a cue from Rhode Island and uses coffee milk — whole milk mixed with a house-made coffee extract — for a sweeter flavor, almost like a milkshake. Dunkin’ introduced the Dunkalatte last fall, and customers have been clamoring for it ever since.
Pistachio Coffee is also making a comeback for the first time since 2018. The drink is made with Dunkin’s Original Blend coffee and a Pistachio Flavor Swirl, served hot or iced. It was popular as well, and now it’s back on the menu for a limited time. Fans are already rejoicing.
“We’ve been asking for this moment constantly for years!” one Reddit poster says.
Dunkin’ knows it’s giving the people what they want.
“These two beverages have each built a cult following, from customers raving about the Dunkalatte’s one-of-a-kind creamy flavor, to years of petitions calling for Pistachio’s comeback,” Beth Turenne, Vice President of Category Management, said in a press release.
Now is an especially fitting time for Pistachio Coffee’s return, too. Since Dubai chocolate took off on TikTok last summer, we’ve noticed pistachio popping up on more and more drink menus. Starbucks recently launched a matcha drink inspired by the viral chocolate bar and brought back two of its pistachio-flavored coffees. Dunkin’s version could offer some competition.
Meanwhile, Dunkin’ is also adding a few items to its food menu. It’s introducing Ham and Swiss Pretzel Sliders, a snack served on King’s Hawaiian buns, and bringing back its Chicken and Bacon Croissant Stuffer and its Sweet Black Pepper Bacon for sandwiches and wraps. And Sabrina Carpenter’s collab, the Brown Sugar Shakin’ Espresso, is also sticking around this spring.
