A dollar-deal on McDonald’s Egg McMuffins would always be welcome news. But given the price of and availability issues surrounding eggs at the moment, a screaming deal on Egg McMuffins is probably especially exciting (egg-citing?) for breakfast lovers.

McDonald’s is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Egg McMuffin’s nationwide debut, in 1975, with two ways to save on the iconic breakfast sandwich, now as ever an egg (“now sourced 100% cage-free in the U.S.,” the brand notes) and cheese on a buttered, toasted English muffin.

For starters, on Sunday, March 2, McDonald’s will celebrate National Egg McMuffin Day (guess that’s a thing?) by offering either an Egg McMuffin or a Sausage McMuffin with Egg breakfast sandwich for $1. The deal is available for one day only and only through the McDonald’s App.

Then, from March 3 through March 30, customers can get a buy-one-get-one-free deal on a Sausage McMuffin with Egg when they place a McDelivery order using the McDonald’s App.

McDonald’s is also sharing good news for those who are more into bagels than English muffins. The chain is now making its bagel sandwiches available nationwide for the first time. “So, whether you love the classic Bacon, Egg & Cheese; Sausage, Egg & Cheese; or the iconic Steak, Egg & Cheese, McDonald’s has you covered, no matter where you are,” the brand says.

And do not think doughnut lovers are being left out. McDonald’s has also announced that its rollout of fresh Krispy Kreme doughnuts — already in cities including Chicago, Cleveland, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh and Louisville — now includes participating locations in New York as well. The brand promises that, by the end of 2025, Krispy Kreme doughnuts will be available in more than half of all McDonald’s restaurants in the United States — and in all locations nationwide by the end of 2026.

“At McDonald’s, breakfast isn't just a meal; it’s a cherished tradition and cornerstone of our brand,” McDonald’s USA President Joe Erlinger says in a statement. “Every morning when we open our doors, we are a breakfast restaurant. Whether it’s my personal favorite, the Egg McMuffin, or our crispy Hash Browns, fluffy hotcakes, or sweet and savory McGriddles, we’re all about giving our customers the best start to their day.”

Blackstone Breakfast Sandwiches

Take a break from pancakes on the griddle to try these delicious biscuit breakfast sandwiches. The biscuits cook beautifully directly on the griddle and resemble crumpets with their crisp golden exterior and soft doughy interior. The cheesy eggs and crisp bacon are perfectly balanced with a juicy slice of tomato. The sandwiches are easy to customize--you can switch out the pepper jack for your favorite cheese or throw in a few extra veggies with the spinach. The breakfast sandwich world is your oyster!
