Burgers and crinkle-cut fries are great and all, but the most important things on a Shake Shack menu are arguably the shakes. It’s right there in the name, after all.

Consequently, when the chain introduces a new shake, it’s worth taking note. And when that new shake blends two decadent dessert flavors into one big, chocolate-coated cup, it warrants getting excited.

Shake Shack is bringing to the U.S. the Dubai Chocolate Pistachio Shake, a “luxurious” and trendy shake the brand says was inspired by a viral chocolate bar.

The shake starts with pistachio frozen custard made with real pistachio nuts and mixes in toasted kataifi shredded phyllo. It’s served up in a “crackable” shell of dark chocolate, and then topped off with chopped pistachios and more kataifi, for extra crunch.

You can watch the shake being made in this Instragram video, which has racked up almost a million views and more than 31,000 likes in less than a week.

“The idea for the shake first came to Shake Shack in December 2024, when the international team shared the concept after visiting the region,” the brand explains of the shake’s origins. “Around the same time, the culinary team had been developing the shell lining — a rich, crackable chocolate coating — but hadn’t found the perfect shake to launch it with. The Dubai Chocolate Pistachio Shake was the perfect match, designed to mimic the satisfying crunch of the viral chocolate bar.”

Initially launched in Dubai on February 10, and then offered at Shake Shack locations across the Middle East, the Dubai Chocolate Pistachio Shake will come to 30 U.S. Shake Shack locations in New York, California and Florida on April 7, for a limited time. The shake’s price starts at $7.99.

The New York Shake Shack locations that will offer the shake are Upper East Side, 630 Lexington, West Village, Lower East Side, Flatbush, Columbus Circle, DUMBO, Downtown Brooklyn, Astor Place and Meatpacking.

The California locations are WeHo, Hollywood, Studio City, Century City, Santa Monica, Pasadena, Glendale, Beverly Hills, Long Beach and El Segundo.

And in Florida, the Dubai Chocolate Pistachio Shake will be sold Shake Shacks in Miami Beach, Boca Raton, Aventura Mall, Sawgrass Mills, Coral Gables, The Falls, Mary Brickell Village, Ft. Lauderdale, Dadeland Mall and The Gardens Mall.

People are already going nuts with anticipation:

“GOOD GRIEF! BRING IT STATESIDE,” one Instagrammer begged.

“YES BRING IT TO THE US OMG !!!!” echoed another.

Sounds like the Dubai Chocolate Pistachio Shake is really going to shake things up.
