Mei's Newest Hot Spot

Mei recently opened 88 Club in Beverly Hills, California. The elegant and contemporary space invites guests in for a modern take on classic Chinese cuisine. Mei's menu balances heritage with creativity, showcasing seasonal ingredients and precise technique. Even better: The food is served family style, so you have an excuse to try several dishes from the menu (bold, yet familiar cocktails included). In 2021, Mei opened a critically acclaimed fast-casual Szechuan hot fried chicken restaurant called Daybird — also in Los Angeles (Silver Lake).

Season 1 Winner: Brooke Williamson

Brooke won TOC I in 2020, beating Amanda Freitag in the final elimination by a single point. Fun fact: Brooke has competed in the final elimination three times. Though she had experience from Top Chef before TOC I, Brooke was considered an underdog in the competition — making her win even more memorable.
